We will look at different types of behaviours we may come across; what may be the triggers for these behaviours; looking at our own attitudes and behaviours; and how they may trigger others; additionally positive engagement and de-escalation techniques.
What You’ll Learn
We will look at early warning signs to look out for when service users may be coming agitated. Learning to understand what may induce positively charged behaviour from a person, that could then lead to physical or non physical violence. We will look at how using ABC charts can begin to help us see patterns of behaviour, positive engagement and forms of restraint.
