The course will give an understanding of what causes an infection; our professional role involved in infection prevention; how to adopt safe practices in the workplace; how we may identify measures that can be taken to control risks; looking at handwashing; PPE; sharps care and different infectious diseases and how they may spread by the chain of infection; moreover what we can do to minimise this.
